The system's principles are based on TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine).
According to TCM the root to all disease lie in two main factors: One is the
stagnation of Qi (energy) that flows through our body in channels called
meridians. This energy will always carry the nature of two extremes called
Yin and Yang.
The imbalance of the Yin/Yang Qi is the second factor contributing to
illness. These extremes should always be in optimum balance. In many cases
the emotions will be a main influence on those two factors.
Ultimate Chi is a full Health care, self healing system based on the
practice of methods that are thought to date back around the dawn of Chinese
civilization, as early as the seventeenth century B.C. Legends of the Shang
Dynasty period describe how members of the ancient Tao Tang tribes would
imitate the movements of wild animals in order to dispel rheumatism caused
by the cold, damp climate. The exercises, called "Dao yin", evolved over the
centuries into what is now known as qigong, and reflect the Chinese
principle of looking to nature for healing.
This complimentary healing system can only help and accentuate other
techniques utilized by practioners.
The meridians feed various organs in our body, referred to as the Zhang-Fu
organs. (There are five main organs and six secondary organs).
Our five basic emotions have a direct influence on these organs and
vice-versa.
Using certain movements will promote the flow of Qi in various channels. The
respiration and imagination will make our Qi more yin or yang in nature.
The Ultimate Chi system uses a combination of movements, respiration
techniques, and imagination.
In most of the Chinese hospitals, it is known that as part of the
rehabilitation, forms of exercises called Medical Qigong are commonly used.
There are hundreds of written documents on the subjects, records of study
and success in the rehabilitation process with patients.
Today, almost a billion Chinese practice Qigong daily in parks and
gymnasiums around China. It is considered a basic health maintenance ritual.
